History of Chene Liquor
Chene Liquor, also known as Ideal Market, was a store in the neighborhood of Poletown East along the Chene Corridor that burned down in an arson fire on May 30 , 2013. After the owners left for a "break," when they returned, the building was on fire. Later that night, five other arson fires also occurred between midnight and 1 a.m. The owners are suspected of starting the fire, as shortly after their "break" began , black smoke emerged from the building as the fire ignited . The building today sits in a burnt-out state, with no proper floor since the fire destroyed the original one. Plywood sheets are stapled to the floor foundation, which have dry-rotted over the years and act as a false floor. The building is very dangerous and not advisable to enter.

Recollection from the author
Chene Liquor was a building that literally had nothing in it and nothing of real note it was probably the most boring building we explored on the page but the arson story of the 2013 fire is a interesting one it’s unfortunate that leaves nothing to explore due to the nature of the fire

The Following Location is not stable and could cause serious injury or death to persons attempting to enter, abandonedcommercialdetroit does not advise entering the building under any circumstance for the following reasons
-False Floor: Floor Dry rotted and acts as thin ice that will break under normal human weight
abandonedcommercialdetroit is not responsible for injury or death on locations explored on this website

the first floor with dry rotted plywood as the floor, that acts like thin ice
