Recollection from the author
When you think of the Rural of WV. You might think old time Country Store and this is no exception. From the hand written prices in chalk, to the wood that made up the shelves. This was a classic example of Rural Country WV. The upstairs section of the Store was likely a living quarters for the shop owner. The most crazy thing to find in this spot was definitely the very very old TV in the corner
Walking in from the back you get to see what looks like a creepy old house
a tarp lays over the 2nd floor stairs
but as you walk towards the front you realize it's a General Store of some sorts
Fresh Fruit once was sold here inside the bottom shelves
"Large Limes 2 cents"
"Basic Limes 10 cents"
most shelves stand strong even till today, though the place does show its age of abandonment with the wood
The General Store sits right outside the active railroad sit running through duffields
The middle of the store is cluttered with debris
various old items have been left behind
A Old Couch inside the store area
The back looks to have been a living area commonplace back then, shop owners would live above their business
the second floor full of floor damage and wall that have seen better days
A lone chair sits alone along the wall of the back of the upstairs living area
Next to the chair a very old TV sits in the corner of the room
This TV is older then anything I have ever seen, looks to be from around the 1950s or 40s
TV anyone?
TV for two
wood has started to collapse to the first floor below
Looking down the stairs
backroom area next to the storefront
The back of the storefront is still very much intact
Back Entrance
Overgrown Patio area in the back of the building
